lLocal Planning
Local planning - we organised a seminar in March 2010 for CPRE branches in the South West to exchange and develop best practice on Local Development Framework Core Strategies. Many local authorities in the South West are currently developing these.
Affordable housing - we want to see affordable housing as the main priority for new homes in the South West, including provision in sustainable locations in rural communities
Local character - we want to see local distinctiveness, landscape and historic character assessed, maintained and enhanced in local plans.
Best and Most Versatile agricultural land - we want to see our most productive soils kept free from development so that they can contribute to food production for the future. Click here for our briefing note.
